Gerardo Garcia

Gerardo Garcia is a senior at the University of Houston. He is currently pursuing his degree in
Music Education, while taking tenor trombone lessons under Brian Kauk (Houston Symphony
Orchestra). While at the University of Houston he has been a part of various ensembles,
including the “Spirit of Houston” Marching Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensemble.
Gerardo also marched euphonium with Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2017
season, Phantom Regiment for the 2018 season, and finally aging out with the Bluecoats in 2019
where he was a featured soloist on trombone.
Gerardo has taught private lessons to students at Ronald E McNair Junior High (Pearland, Tx) and
is currently teaching lessons at Rodeo Palms Junior High (Manvel, Tx). He also currently teaches
visual, and brass at Dawson High School (Pearland, Tx), and Friendswood High School
(Friendswood, Tx).
