Matthew Vaadi

Matthew Vaadi grew up in Bradenton, FL and fell in love with the marching arts after attending his first drum corps show in 2008. Five years later, he was proud to call himself a member of the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. In 2015, he marched with the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps and in 2016, he aged-out with the corps, contributing to the Bluecoats' first ever DCI championship. In 2017, Matthew had the opportunity to teach as a visual staff member at Music City Drum Corps. Matthew graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. During his time at UF, he studied euphonium with James Jenkins and performed in both the UF Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony. Now living outside of Orlando, Florida, Matthew works as the band director at Liberty High School. When he is not teaching, Matthew spends time cooking, going to the dog park, and visiting Disney World."
